Dom is an experienced director of Musical Theatre. Having trained at RADA / Birkbeck in London he has worked as a director in the UK and USA. His professional credits range from the European premiere of Michael John LaChiusa's Queen of the Mist (West End) and Vote for Me a Musical Debate through to musicals such as I Love You Because; Damn Yankees and Nine. His love of working in amateur musical theatre has seen him direct a wide range of shows for many different companies across London, the UK and USA ranging from On the Town, West Side Story and Into the Woods through to How to Succeed..., The Fix, The Wild Party and many more.
Dom works as a Senior Publisher at Methuen Drama and it was during this job he realised there wasn't a clear, contemporary book for directors working on amateur musical theatre. While the market is packed with books for directors, amateur theatre (and amateur musical theatre) is a very specific skill. After collating years of research, best practice and methods he decided to write a book to help in the field and act as a guidebook for a new generation of directors.
